Paul F. Bradshaw is Professor of Liturgy at the University of Notre Dame.A specialist in the early history of Christian liturgy, he has taught at the University of Notre Dame since 1985. He was previously Director of Studies at Chichester Theological College, Course Director in the St Albans Diocese Ministerial Training Scheme, and the Vice-Principal of Ripon College Cuddesdon, Oxford. He has written or edited over twenty books and has contributed more than ninety articles or essays. He has collaborated with Lawrence A. Hoffman on several essay collections about the evolution of worship in Christian and Jewish communities in North America. For eighteen years Bradshaw was chief editor of the international journal, Studia Liturgica, and he is also a former President both of Societas Liturgica and of the North American Academy of Liturgy. His book, The Search for the Origins of Christian Liturgy, has become a standard textbook. It has gone through two editions, and has been translated into French and Italian, with Japanese and Russian translations forthcoming.
